Does Lipodrene Work?
Millions of Americans today struggle with obesity and weight loss. They look for other alternatives such as prescription pills, over the counter pills, or dietary supplements that are safe and effective. Most Americans want to lose weight the quickest and easiest way. For many Americans it is easier to have a quick fix by taking diet pills instead of going to the gym and exercising on a regular basis, and sticking to a healthy diet plan. There are only so many dietary supplement pills that are safe and very effective.
Lipodrene with Ephedra and caffeine together make the best weight loss supplement out on the market today. Due to the FDA and the media, allegations have been made to such dietary supplements with Ephedra and caffeine in them. These allegations are misleading the general public and dietary supplement users because of false evidence. However, the FDA does not have any known scientific studies that show proof that Ephedra and caffeine are a deadly combination. Everywhere we look in America we are inundated with images of the next best thing in order to maintain a healthy weight, and to stay thin. Lipodrene with Ephedra and caffeine, yet becomes a prime motivator in fulfilling the desire to lose weight in society and in our personal lives. The benefits of the combination will help people achieve this goal, while giving them a boost of energy and are a safe, and effective diet supplement, when used as directed.
The benefits of Lipodrene with Ephedra and caffeine are not as out of the ordinary as some people might think. For, example: many people use caffeine in their everyday lives. Caffeine can be beneficial if used in moderations throughout the entire day for liveliness. Lipodrene with Ephedra and caffeine together is an extreme energetic weight loss pill, and helps decrease appetite cravings. It burns and melts away the fat when exercising. When looking for a weight loss supplement, Ephedra and caffeine are the main ingredients to losing weight. Caffeine is a stimulant of the central nervous system and a component of tea, coffee, chocolate, and soft drinks as well as fighting off drowsiness. When consumed in low doses, caffeine doesn’t pose any serious risks.
The History of Ephedra
Ephedra is a number one leading and active ingredient to burn fat, calories, and to lose weight. According to the Natural Herbs of Encyclopedia, Chinese Ephedra Extract is known as Ma Huang and is predominantly grown in China, an original family of plants known as ephedra sinica. This herb is one of the oldest and most widely used Chinese herbs. Ma Huang has been used for thousands of years in Traditional Chinese Medicine and is the key factor of various herb recipes. It is recommended to treat illnesses, for example: flu and cold, bronchial asthma, coughing, and other respiratory and flu like symptoms. Therefore, it has been no secret to the Chinese that there are a variety of meaningful aids of an Ephedra plant.
Ironically, it helps with everyday ailments and in the United States, Americans might be using Nyquil, or over-the-counter remedies. There have been studies and research that prove Ephedra is a safe, natural herb, and very successful. According to the International Journal of Obesity, “the weight loss benefits of Ephedra have been known for centuries.” Valdez, D., an entrepreneur of many supplement websites and maker of his own Ephedra and caffeine diet aids, that sells enormously to individuals all over the U.S. comments, “Ephedra has been marketed here in the United States since the early 1990’s. In fact, there were approximately 425 million Ephedra “servings” that were sold in 1995. By 1999, that number has risen to approximately 3 billion servings of Ephedra, yet being sold annually” (Valdez). These numbers are staggering, especially when one takes in the fact that according to the paper “Herbal Ephedra/caffeine for Weight Loss: a 6-month Randomized Safety and Efficacy Trial” written by Boozer, claim Adverse Event Reports on file with the FDA demonstrated a reporting rate of less than 10 such reports out of 140 in a 6 month trial, and came from Ephedra extract products.
Arguments Against Ephedra
One of the main arguments against the benefits of Ephedra and caffeine; do the risks outweigh the benefits. Several studies have concentrated on the results of the intensity to the nervous system. In order to increase basal metabolic rates (resting metabolic rates) it therefore provides a long-term therapeutic (cure) option for obese patients. According to the International Journal of Obesity:
forty-one women completed a study consuming Ephedra and caffeine together as a dietary supplement to lose weight. The treatment group lost significantly more body weight of 16 lbs and body fat of (-5.33 kg = 12lbs) than the control group of 5lbs. and 2lbs respectively. They showed significant declines in heart rate, serum cholesterol, triglycerides, cholesterol to high-density lipoprotein ratio, glucose, fasting insulin, and leptin. Blood pressure, electrocardiograms, other clinical chemistry measures, blood histology, urinalysis, and self-reported physical activity were similar in groups. The treatment group reported more energy and decreased appetite compared to controls and scored higher on a quality of life domain assessing vitality.
Lipodrene with Ephedra and caffeine together increases the metabolism because it is supported by the two main ingredients that causes an effect, yet the burning of body fat due to certain levels of activity. Therefore, when given in combination, they work together so they can increase the level of thermo-genesis (burning of fat). When Ephedra and caffeine are taken alone and separate from one another, the impact together isn’t as powerful and successful when intermixed.
In the article “Looking beyond Ephedra” written by Mary Duenwald points out, Dietician specialists and weight loss professionals from all over the United States express that dietary supplements that do not contain Ephedra, or other weight loss products such as diet pills that are purchased from a local super market, aren’t as successful and results will vary. Dr. Ken Fujoka, Director of the Nutrition and Metabolic Research Center; at the Scripps Clinic in San Diego, also states in this article, “there have been numerous reviews that report Lipodrene with Ephedra and caffeine mixed together helps lose weight.” This article also gave another great statistic. Mr. Varuzzo has been taking Lipodrene with Ephedra on and off, for six years. He had yet to read anything that really suggests that Ephedra and caffeine are dangerous because he had followed the instruction label. Mr. Varuzzo was healthy and did not have high blood pressure. He took the supplement only for three months at a time. The only side effect he ever got was a little bit of a speedy feeling. The same effect you would get from drinking three cups of coffee.
Educate Before Use
It is our responsibility as users to educate ourselves on diet supplements when taking them. The majority of people that are interested in Lipodrene with Ephedra and caffeine are the individuals who want to lose weight, and are obese. It is helpful for individuals that put on extra pounds over the years, or months. These individuals may want to maintain their weight and stay lean. Anytime when taking a dietary supplement, users need to read the facts, the intake amount, the warning label, and consult with a physician before use. Most of the time these individuals are not following the instruction labels that are put on these dietary supplement bottles. All of this information is available to the general public. Many users, from healthy to users that have pre-existing health problems, take these supplements without consulting a physician first. This could be a serious health problem to the people that have prior health issues, and any sort of disease that requires a person to take prescribed pills. When you mix any kind of medications with caffeine, or Ephedra, it can alter the effects of prescription drugs that are taken, due to certain diseases, and can cause some health conditions. According to Valdez, who has developed three products containing Ephedra and caffeine in them, manufacturers have urged the FDA to mandate consumer labeling and manufacturing safeguards to reduce the risk of consumer misuse. The FDA has never responded and nonetheless the industry has succeeded at self-regulation and through the state laws mandating science based on serving limits, and informative warning labels (Valdez).
The FDA has been trying to prove that Ephedra and caffeine combined into a dietary supplement pill are the cause, for people using such diet aids, to have heart attacks, strokes, and even cause death. For quite some time the FDA wants to ban Ephedra and caffeine off the market, so supplement users can’t purchase such products containing both active ingredients in them. The FDA has no proven scientific studies that show that Ephedra and caffeine are causing health problems and can lead to death. They only refer to what doctor’s report to them, but they are not scientific researchers. When the FDA acts upon their clinical research studies, nor do they imply actively doing their studies on unhealthy candidates or individuals with pre-existing health conditions. The majority of these people are in their 30’s to mid-40’s and are athletic individuals, for example: they perform at high intensity levels of activity. The FDA is claiming and they’re pointing fingers, at the makers, and manufactures of such dietary supplements. They blame Ephedra and caffeine, for the cause of autonomic hyperactivity, nausea, vomiting, and psychiatric symptoms. The same affects you would get from drinking alcohol. No studies have been compared to long-term results on Ephedra, and the longest available extent of treatment was six months. The FDA’s clinical studies seem disreputable because there was a total of 52 clinical tests, and 18 of those tests were actually left out of the study during an interval of some time; it was under two months that they were testing on a self-disciplined therapy group. This also seemed notorious that there were 59 articles and only 13 of them were consistent. Therefore, six of the tests were taken out for a change of purpose (Shekelle et al.4). They never explained why they were omitted from the study.
The media and manufactures should hold the FDA accountable for the allegations that have been made toward a safe, and effective diet aid. The FDA chooses not to show evidence, or if these individuals had pre-existing health problems before, and there was no indication of what kind of candidates these people were. They are showing their lack of intelligence toward Ephedra and caffeine and, their research. Because the FDA doesn’t get the percentage of money made by manufactures, sellers, or buyers. They only get the percentage of what the pharmaceutical companies make. Therefore, they lose out on a multi-billion-dollar industry.
According to the article “Multi-nutrient Supplement Containing Ephedra and Caffeine Causes Weight Loss and Improves Metabolic Risk Factors in Obese Women” written by RM Hackman, Fat burners (pills) that have Ephedra and caffeine in them have been shown and proven to be secure, and active. Fat burners will help lose weight, and burn the excess fat with the support of a healthy and nutritional diet. With the use of these two major elements, the body can correct a number of diseases, illnesses, and help the metabolic rate. These dietary aids are worthwhile and positive in losing weight, or just keeping the body fat off.
The benefits of Ephedra and Caffeine as well as the boost of energy is essential in this chaotic world we call “life.” Ephedra has been in the world food supply for thousands of years. Lipodrene with Ephedra and caffeine is one of the most safe and effective diet aids ever developed. Obesity is a disease that is susceptible to diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular disease and these high health risks are reversible with weight loss. Confirmation of the results of Ephedra and caffeine has been validated with controlled clinical trials and studies. The beneficial effects of Ephedra and caffeine on weight loss continue to be available to the consuming public. As time becomes a rare commodity and priorities change, so does the chance of being healthy. The use of diet aids such as Lipodrene with Ephedra and caffeine help keep us on the track of being vigorous, and able to enjoy life to the fullest.
